Your starting point in the world of 3D printing.
The Voxel 3D printer is our solid flagship for 3D printing and is far from a cheap brand. The model is of very high-quality workmanship, has 8 GB of RAM for storing 3D models, USB ports, a Wi-Fi radio, a built-in camera for keeping an eye on the printing process and a hotspot function for connecting to your PC. Voxel stands out with its super-simple and intuitive menu navigation, which you can navigate on the 2.8-inch colour display with the keypad. Perfect for expanding your 3D printing skills.
Manual nozzle changes are a thing of the past.
The most annoying thing about 3D printing: You come home, come up with an idea on the PC and just want to start 3D printing, but you forgot to change the nozzle after the last print. And now you need 20-40 minutes to change the nozzle manually with a tool. Even the most motivated creative minds lose their interest in printing. This is where the heart of the Voxel 3D printer comes into play: the quick-change nozzle. It allows you to change the nozzle completely automatically in a matter of seconds. Get started right away - no tools, no constant screwing.
Level & load the filament with just one touch.
The built-in Assisted Bed Levelling allows you to precisely align the print bed with just one touch on the display. In addition, the automatic loading of the filament makes filament feeding a lot easier. Simply insert the filament into the charging port and start the charging process quickly via the touch screen. The printer does the rest. When it's time to change the filament, a built-in sensor constantly checks the filament status and interrupts the current printing processes if necessary.
It's super easy to remove the model.
The flexible and removable printing plate makes it super easy to take your finished product out of the holder. Just a little bending, then the product is automatically released from the holder by the flexible printing plate. If the printing plate is damaged during the printing process despite the extremely high heat resistance of 60 degrees, it’s very easy to replace.

This printer is nice to introduce yourself to 3D printing. It’s enclosed and all setup, so you just have to plug it to start printing, protected from dust and other environmental threats. The FlashForge slicer, lacks features compared to other robust alternative, but is probably the easiest one to use. Be warned: other slicers can’t export compatible print file natively. My printer came with one defect: the heating plate was warped, and so was the one on my replacement. I guess I’ve been unlucky. Customer service was great and reactive.
I've been 3D modelling since I was 11 so realistically it only seemed like a good idea to get a printer, so here we are; The Monoprice Voxel.
While I absolutely love this machine, I've used it to build plant pots, tea-light domes and flatpack tables, but there are a few things about this printer that SERIOUSLY bug me...
1) - The filament chamber is small.
I initially thought that the chamber was too small for 1KG spools, but it turns out that even the 0.5KG spools that MP sell are too big, the sides simply do not fit into the chamber, leaving me with two options; Either cut the walls of the filament spool to fit or print my own spools. I did both.
Either they don't sell suitable spools that fit into the MP Voxel or I can't find them on the site at all.
I guess I'll have to buy my filament elsewhere.
2) - The adhesion plate.
"Replacing the adhesion plate" is in fact only replacing the adhesive sticker that is stuck to the removeable plate. What are we to do if our plates either become too warped or if they snap?
I'm unsure if MP replace parts of your printer but I sure hope they do, I've not seen the plate itself or the unclogging tool anywhere on their site.
3) - Calibration.
After a routine nozzle clean-up, I often recalibrate it.
Although a couple times it has either been too high or too low to print, can't we move the Z-Axis in measurements different to 0.1mm? I believe we need a finer measurement, 0.05mm would likely be sufficient.
Other than that, I love it!
It was easy to setup and get going, but does need some adjusting. Only problem I saw was that the instructions weren't the best on how to clear a nozzle clog.
Printer works great. Just need to make sure you check on it. Installed a firewall and found out that the printer was also sending a copy of what you printed to China. Talk about a security issue
Great Machine once it is setup. Needed Tech Support (chat and email only options right now) as the instructions did not tell you to cut the filament on an angle so it feeds properly.
